Senior Cub and Kitty Care

Our Bear Hug Story
I have loved caring for animals since I was a little girl. I've had a mixture of senior dogs and cats over the years. It's always been important to me to open my home to senior animals. They don't ask for much and deserve a loving home in their final years.
Over my lifetime, I have worked in an animal hospital, an animal shelter, and helped friends and neighbors care for their pets while away. These experiences taught me that pets thrive in calm, loving environments where they feel safe. Our pets depend on us for their physical and emotional well-being. With patience, understanding, and the right care, many challenges can be resolved while keeping pets happy and secure.
I decided to start Mamma Bear Pet Care to help pet owners care for their pets, especially when they travel, work late, or have a health emergency. As a pet owner, I have been in many situations where I didn't have the help I needed during unforeseen situations. I understand the stress and anxiety that comes from deciding on what to do with pets during difficult situations. The best option is always to allow the pet to stay in the comfort of their own home, rather than an unfamiliar place. Trusting someone into your home is also important, so rest-assured, I will treat your pets and your home with the utmost respect and love.

Be an advocate for shelter animals by letting people know that reliable pet-sitting support can make pet adoption feel more possible. When adopters know they have help caring for a new pet, especially dogs, they may feel more confident opening their homes to animals in need.
Please consider adopting an additional pet, especially a senior pet, from your local animal shelter or at www.petfinder.com
Our animal shelters are over-crowded. Animals in shelters often experience stress, uncertainty, and unfamiliar surroundings. This can delay their adoption. When you adopt, allow your new pet the time needed to decompress from the shelter. Patience and understanding can help your new pet feel safe, build trust, and adjust to their new home.
